Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 May 2026
These terms govern your use of BidLens, a subscription service operated by BidLens (“we”, “us”, “our”). By subscribing or using the service, you (“you”, “the subscriber”) agree to these terms.
1. The service
BidLens ingests UK public-sector procurement releases from official open-data sources (Find a Tender Service and Contracts Finder), classifies and ranks them against the capability profile you provide, and delivers a periodic digest of matches by email and/or Telegram.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate contact information and keep it current. You are responsible for the security of any credentials issued to you. You agree not to use the service to send spam, harass others, or breach UK law.
3. Subscription & payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are in GBP and exclude VAT, which is added where applicable. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
4. Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel at any time. See our Refunds & cancellation policy for the 14-day cancellation right under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and our refund commitments.
5. Service availability
We aim to provide the service continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Source data is provided by third-party UK government services; outages or data quality issues upstream may affect what we deliver. We are not liable for upstream data errors.
6. Intellectual property
Tender records ingested from public sources remain the property of their original publishers and are made available to you under their respective open-data licences. Our classifications, rankings, summaries, and the BidLens software remain our intellectual property.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or business opportunities arising from bids you did or did not pursue based on our service.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
