BidLens (“we”) operates BidLens. We are the data controller for your personal data and we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Account data: email address, optional Telegram chat ID, the capability profile text you provide, and your plan preferences (sectors, regions, value bands, keywords).
• Billing data: handled by Stripe. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status; we do not see or store your card details.
• Usage data: minimal — which digests we sent you and when, so we can support you and detect delivery failures.

Why we use it

• To deliver the service you have subscribed to (legitimate interest, contractual necessity).
• To bill you (contractual necessity).
• To contact you about service issues, changes to these terms, or to provide support (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it to train external AI models on your behalf.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored on UK-based servers. We use the following processors:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Anthropic / Voyage AI — for the AI classification and embedding of public tender records; your capability profile is sent to Voyage only as embedding input (not retained for training per their commercial terms).
• Email and Telegram delivery providers, depending on which channels you enable.

How long we keep it

While your subscription is active, plus 90 days for support and billing reconciliation, after which we delete your account data. Billing records may be retained longer where required by UK tax law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have mishandled your data.

Cookies

BidLens marketing pages use no analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies. We may set a single session cookie if you log into the subscriber dashboard (when launched) — that's it.

Changes to this policy

We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
